Christian Moueix Gives His Opinion on 2006

A few brief remarks from Christian Moueix on how he views the 2006 vintage. For those of you who are not familiar with him, Christian Moueix is the winemaker for some of the most outstanding wines in Bordeaux and the United States, the most famous being Petrus and Dominus. He also runs a very successful negociant business (under the name Jean-Pierre Moueix).

Always humble, he offers his opinion on the vintage. Although Petrus will sell regardless of the vintage, the rest of the wines in his portfolio depend on consumers respecting their quality year over year. For this reason, Christian would have nothing to gain by underestimating the vintage, so we can infer from this interview that he is being quite candid and open.
